• Schwinn was incorporated as Arnold, Schwinn & Company in 1895, and has been involved with the development and sales of all types of road, mountain, and kids bikes.

• The company struggled financially in the late 1990's, and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2001. The company was purchased by Pacific Cycle, which was then purchased by Dorel Industries in 2004.

• The company continues to innovate with their array of bicycles and bicycle related products, including the Schwinn magnetic trainer, and is one of the most popular bike brands in the world.
